What Do You Think Of Real Madrid In La Liga 2020?

The 2020-21 season will be the 90th consecutive season for Real Madrid CF in the Spanish football First Division. Like every year, Real Madrid is obliged to fight for all possible titles. So, revalidating the Spanish league championship is their main objective without losing sight of the Champions League.

Real Madrid arrivals and departures 2020/21

The white club reinforced its squad at the lowest possible cost during the last transfer window. To do this, they recovered several players who were on loan.

The most important addition was the Martin Odegaard return. The Norwegian midfielder was requested by Zidane. He had a great season at Real Sociedad, where he was on loan. Besides, they recovered Andriy Lunin from Oviedo and Álvaro Odriozola from Bayern Munich.

Likewise, it was the only team that did not spend money in this transfer market. The club received 118.50 million Euros from player transfers. The biggest sale was that of Achraf Hakimi to Inter Milan for 40.00 million Euros.

Other players’ transfers such as Reguilón to Tottenham, Rodríguez to Sevilla, Sánchez to Valladolid, and Soro to Granada also left income.

Meanwhile, others were released or loaned. Among them is Kubo to Villarreal, Bale to Tottenham, James to Everton, Brahim to Milan, Mayoral to Roma, and Reinier to Borussia.

Real Madrid's 2020/21 season line-up.

We will review the merengues squad, starting with the goal. Courtois is the undisputed starter there since he maintains a high level. Actually, he could win the Zamora prize again.

The central defenders will again be Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane. In the flanks, there are alternatives. On the left are Mendy and Marcelo. Meanwhile, Carvajal, Odriozola, and Nacho will be on the right.

Real Madrid's midfield is very well covered. In this sector, Zidane has six great players. There, we will see strongholds like Modric, Casemiro, and Kroos. For his part, Valverde will continue progressing. Moreover, Ödegaard and Isco will participate in the midfield and show their quality.

In the attack, Zidane also has several options, although Karim Benzema will continue being the center forward. Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, Marco Asensio, or Lucas Vázquez will play as wingers. Vinicius obtained a lot of prominence since the start of the new season, generating scoring chances.

Eden Hazard would continue out of the calls, at least during the campaign beginning, due to muscular problems.

Conclusion

Last season was not bad for Real Madrid. However, people always expect more from a club with its popularity and budget. After winning the Spanish league, in the 2020/21 season, the white club fans await more titles. For his part, Zidane is showing his skills as a coach and group manager, keeping the players focused.

In this sense, when other competitions such as the Champions League and the Copa del Rey start, we will see the players' rotation effectiveness. The team will need each footballer to give his best, including Eden Hazard. He has not shown what he can do due to injuries.

We'll see if Real Madrid can maintain high performance throughout the 2020/21 campaign and reach every competition's final stage.
